I was also wondering about the carrier pigeons and Hektor the pup. Any updates on those adventures?
Thanks for posting the pics, Bee!

Mystere, Ruger and Andhourspass,
Well, I always liked reading about those racing pigeons, too, isn't that funny. I can't figure it out but I find the whole sport fascinating when Steve talks about it, lol I happen to know that "The Pigeons are doing okay...". Matter of fact, they are racing today, a 320 mile prep race for "the big International race from Barcelona". That will happen in July. I hope it is a good flight today!
And here is an update on the handsome, hunky Hektor. He is living a new, great life in Ireland with a friend of Steve's, where he is treasured and loved. Hektor is the constant companion for his friend, who always takes him everywhere.
The reason Steve made the decision to give Hektor a new home was because he developed a testicle that retracted around 4.5 months of age. Six treatments to coax the wayward testicle down were tried, but "...it never worked." It was the fact that this meant he could be trained, but not trialed over in Belgium, because of the rule that "one ball he cannot compete in the Schutzhund." Not being able to trial and get him grades, well, it isn't too surprising to those who are fans of Steve, that it is understandable his feeling, "That for me was no good."
The friend stays in touch with how Hektor gets along, and there is no doubt by Steve, that he did the right thing by Hektor.
