Mercedes,
He is now trying to motivate you! I think for "high" obedience that would be a dog I would want! You should get the book by I think Godfried Dildei (sp) "Obedinece Training in Drive". I think that is the book anyway. It is really good and talks about actually teaching/making the dog think he can motivate you for the obedience. Anyway, it was a really good book.....loaned it to a friend and I guess I will have to buy another.

Ok, so now after reading all the responses, I am personally Geeked up myself!!! YEA!!
I am amazed at how FAST he learns commands, and how quickly he does them, once learned...
Ohhh, I am soooo, Excited! I will look for that book. I will stop trying to "correct" the bark, and focus on the when he does the command "without" the bark.. But now i am not all that worried!!!!!
Whew! I thought I was going mad. But The way he barks, out of SHEER enjoyment, and excitement, kinda keeps us going!
(exhales loudly, as he barks at her to get moving..again)lol

I forgot to add that after the fast stop, sit and quiet we say fuss a step or two and break play. With this power you want the dog to unload into the work only. He must be quiet in order to be allowed to work.(move) I know this is a bit to wrap your head around but if you think about it and try it you have OB that others will envy. Power up and go get em team.
