I'm using Frontline Plus. I'm in a southern state so I use it year round. My two dogs are indoor dogs though and never in kennels outside. I've never had a pest of any type on them.

Amitraz is old as the hills (1969) and Amitraz is a class C suspected carcinogen.  Steer clear of it in any form as it has potential for reproductive problems and has caused many deaths in humans in countries where it is still in widespread use.  Pet collars with Amitraz should be avoided as they can be handled by children or if they come in contact with other animals incidentally (puppies) and could be ingested.  .Amitraz also causes neurologic disorders so using it on pregnant females would be ill advised especially as Amitraz is classed as a reproductive or developmental toxin.

bubba,
I completely agree with you about Fort Dodge, I remember problems with their vaccines going back to the 90's.  I also will not use any Fort Dodge products.
