Congrats! He's a pretty dog. Very sweet sounding, too.
He looked forlorn in his pics. He looks twice as old as my 6 year old. Those are just facts- I wasn't saying he wasn't loved or cared for or anything bad about his owner, who I spoke to a few times and was quite nice.

Thanks Jenni! I just wanted to make sure everyone knows he's a happy dog, maybe just having an off day the day the hoobly pics were taken. I think he looks much better in the pic I posted above. I agree that he looks older than my recently neutered male 6 year old, but hey I know people don't all age the same and I guess it's the same for dogs! Just wanted to assure everyone that he will not be passed around anymore (he really hasn't been before, the breeder sold him directly to the man that I bought him from) and that he will be well loved.
***Side note, wanted to note that he was breed surveyed in 2008, not 2009

I think the passing around was just a guess because of where he was advertised. I spoke to the owner, as I said, and I know he wasn't really and he was really on the fence about parting with him at all. Good for you and Ulk! Many happy years together!

I know nothing about breeding or Ulk but his recently posted picture from his current owner is adorable. What a handsome guy!

Thank you Hourpass! We are getting so attached already and I am head over heels for this dog! He's absolutely wonderful!

Ulk does look vastly different in this more recent picture, but as you can see Jenni wasn't the only one who thought he looked somewhat bereft in the hooby pics. They're all entitled to a bad day, and both of my current dogs dislike having their pictures taken if it means they have to remain still for it, so they often assume a facial expression that suggests I have just told them they are going to be boiled alive for my dinner when I try to take some new shots. Perhaps Ulk just wasn't having it that day, either. Glad to hear that he was just ACTING! [spoken in the voice of Jon Lovitz portraying his Great Thespian character] and is in fact in fine fettle, and now happily settling into his new home.
He is a handsome fella, and I DO like the rather open pedigree!

Yeah, clearly Ulk just wasn't into having his picture taken when the hoobly ones were shot; these newest pictures fit what I expected to see as an older version of the dog in the Leithawald pics when he was a still a youngster.
Thanks for sharing these!

He is currently shedding, so his chest looks a bit scruffy, but I've been brushing him and the hair just keeps coming! Lol. He's such a loving boy and we're so grateful to have him!
