pros and cons of buying a SCHH3 german shepherd - Page 2

why not get a puppy and train him yourself? why do they sell the dog if he's so good?
 

hey my name is angel and i made this thread just kow how obedient SCHH3 GSD are like are they going to chase cats and other animals that run but also i sant to use him as a stud

To answer the posters questions - how obedient is the SchH III depends on the dog.        Chasing cats - that depends on the individual dog's upbringing.   Just because he has that title doesn't mean he was raised around cats - one would hope that he has recall - --recall also comes in my opinion with a relationship - if you just get the dog - he might not recall for you...........  But if you are worried about it - test the dog before you purchase.

Sometime even a well trained dog will chase & eat a cat, you need to know if the dog has been properly introduced to a cat, and still even if that's the case as with my dogs, they will tolerate "THEIR CAT" but I'm pretty sure they would want to kill one they did not know...

ALL dogs are different...It doesn't matter if they're titled or not...They're still an animal and have different ideas and innate drives...

If you're interested in buying a dog (German Shepherd) and you don't have the opportunity to see the dog yourself and get to know what he/she is...Then you can always ask the owner what the dog is used to and so on...But that doesn't mean that they'll tell you what you want to know or if you can trust them to be on the same page as you to your satisfaction...

Whenever I get a new dog...puppy or adult...I think of them as knowing nothing and start from scratch...Some can be trusted with cats or other animals and some can't...
