I truly cannot believe that it has been a whole year. I know how badly this hurt you and still hurts.

Thank you all for your caring comments. The year has flown by, yet as this day approached I dreaded it. I can't bear the idea of her being gone, so I just kind of keep expecting her to come around the corner, like she's here but out of sight; & this anniversary is a dose of reality.
Then the 17th came & as light refracted through the icicles out side the house & played on the wall, it took the shape of Kali's face, & her eyes came into sharp focus, just as they were in life, so full of love, for a few moments it was so vivid I wanted to photograph it, but I was afraid that if I moved it would be gone. It didn't last long, & I spent the rest of the day wondering if I was nuts.
Then on the 18th, the same thing happened, only this time my husband saw it too, & asked, "Did you draw that picture of Kali? Oh wait, that's sunlight!" He looked confused for a minute, then shook his head & walked away. But I knew he had seen it, & it was real, not just my eyes playing tricks on me.
I am reassured that Kali is OK, & that she still loves us as we love her. And we will meet again. jackie harris
