thanks guys,

this puppy is doing good and have not changed anything yet , but when you look at the xrays you willl see it.

now i know she  may have a problem as she gets older , she is only 5 weeks.

she is getting goats milk and semi wet  and has  not thrown up her food and her stool look normal again , so she is passing food  and she is growing just fine.

but you can see from xray its a large mega E

i am also taking with a rescue i know and see if they can help , cause this pup is doing so well i hate to put her down just yet , had she  not been doing welll i sure  put her down.

yes still need to do more reseach , i really liek to know for sure where this all came from.

mom has never had a pup with a health problem before, but mom is older so i wont breed her again, dont know about dad as this was hs first litter.

here are the 3 xrays i have  of this pup taken over 3 hours. useing the dye.  taken with my camera

feel free to comment on them.

Mega E can be tricky to catch, especially if the litter is high food drive.  Try what I am doing with Cirberus.  If you start now on getting the esophagus to shrink back, there is a chance the puppy will live a normal life without significant input to keep the food down.  You/the new owner will have to be very vigilant for the first two years.  It is also possible that surgery can correct some of the issue.  If you have a vet school in your state, talk to them; if not, have your vet contact TX A&M.

Good luck and keep us/me posted.  Especially if you find answers to trace back to a parent.  So little is known about the genetic marker of the issue.  Anything we all can learn and share will only help the breed.

hi thanks all,

well the lines  the dad come from is Vegas /Quenn  and mom  is holt kamper see /hof  ,  Ursus , Max   , so if any one wants to see full pedigree PM  me.

linebreed on pups is 5-4 Ursus

i did find out that  the sire uncle has also produced a mega E puppy, so i am pretty sure we are looking at the sire mom lines.  her dad is vegas.

so far i had found this much out about the lines.

really have not found any much out about the moms lines, but always would be nice to know, the mom lines are very long living lines , so health is good in her lines.

still dont know for sure if its one or both parents that are carriers for this.  but i did find out it is genetic.

now another question is would you keep a puppy from this litter for breeding?  i was going to but now , i am a bit concern espeally if both parents are carriers.

your input is really need now, as i dont want to produce any healh problems, i have cut out so may lines cause of the health problems i know of.

and i thought i was doing great cause both parennts are DM Clear.

what do you think of the xrays?

i will get the sire owner to send them to his vet to get a 2nd opnion, she has alot of experience with Mega E, which is great.

this sucks!!!!!!!!!!
