--- > Maybe to neaten things up, she could start a rescue thread for each particular breed and things would be nice and tidy for everyone

I agree, Bee, or maybe she should put the breed in the subject title. All breeds, even mixes, deserve a chance at life.... If the breed is in the subject title, breed specific rescues or people looking for a specific breed can pass over them, if they wish.

Yes, or conversely people looking specifically for a
Chi or Chi-mix could go straight to it, and not wade
through several GSDs and others bigger than they
want.  Its a two-edged sword.

Again, thhis forum is not just for German Shepherds and it is NOT a breeder forum.
Yeah, there are a lot of posters that breed here, but there are also people that have pets here. And, although I do breed, I also rescue and really participate more in the non breeder threads.
I think it is pretty crappy all the crying about RESCUE. Posts, irregardless of what the breed is.
Some people are just as happy to have a mutt at their side as opposed to a purebred.
Especially when the RESCUE Forum is used to sidestep adoption rules for the purpose of getting a leg up for a FREE purebre dog.
PLEASE LEAVE THE RESCUE EFFORTS AS THEY ARE.

This person contacted me yesterday about the GSD she posted, I told her about this forum to post him on, had no idea she would post other breeds. I emailed her last night what was going on and that she needed to only post GSD's here not other breeds and she felt really bad that she posted so many. I think you can go ahead and remove the posts of the other breeds and just leave that GSD up. She seems like her heart was in the right place, she was just unaware of the rules. But now she knows.

WTF?? The rules are that what this lady did by posting about 10 rescues in 4 hours was completely appropriate. Doesn't matter that not all of them were GSDs.

You know what you folks who can't bear to skip over 10 rescue posts remind me of? That family in the restaurant that moved away from a table with a disabled child while saying, “Special needs children need to be special somewhere else.” Here's the story:

A waiter at a Texas restaurant took a moral stand and defended a five-year-old boy with Down Syndrome from a customer who made disparaging and insulting remarks aimed at the little boy, as reported by the ABC news national service on Jan. 18, 2013.

Wait staff member Michael Garcia of Houston's Lorenzo's on Washington family restaurant had two separate groups of regular customers in adjoining booths Friday night.

Among one group was family matriarch Kim Castillo and her 5-yr-old son Milo who was born with Down Syndrome.

Kim stated during her interview:

"So we were sitting there and all of a sudden I noticed that the family across from us got up and moved to the back of the restaurant.

I thought, I wonder if they're moving because of us?"

As Garcia noted:

"I didn't think much of it until I heard him say, 'Special needs children need to be special somewhere else.'

It was very disturbing.

My personal feelings just took over and I told this man, 'I'm sorry, I can't serve you.'" . . .

The management at Lorenzo's has supported Garcia, as well as messages of admiration and approval from locals and world-wide via the internet.

in the subject title of each post should be : city, state, breed and sex of the dog  it would make it a lot easier for all to look for a dog in which they might be interested.

I agree with Marjorie 100%. Marjorie if you would like to start a thread in rescue with these rules I will turn it into a sticky.
