My first male ate thru a railroad tie as the main two posts holding the gate where he knew was how u came in could get out top and had his head almost thru the hole he managed to get chewed in one after noon. I got there just in time .Canine officer for Gal CO. had offered to keep him away from Zu but scard me to death so I took him home and rode him with me in the Pu for two weeks everywhere I went . A night he slept in a carrier by my bed so if he moved i knew it, a lot of trouble but we do all we can because we love them Id be afraid of the chlophy but isnt that what they put in chewing gum????? must be okay maybe listerine would work or eat mints all day...

Zu's daughter has torn up 6 or 7 outdoor kennels cyclone wire even with extra bars she wants out she just takes her mouth and twists and pulls and has a hole big enough for head, the rest of the body comes out. I have not tried the Magnum kennel. Cant afford them and it would have to have a board roof and be on concrete or she would go over or under.....and so would all males.....

I have used the chlorophyll on my bitches and it works well. the males still want to sniff around the urine where she has been out, but they don't pay any attention to where she is or try to get at her in the house. I crate her in a sepereate room and crate them when I take her out.

GS Mom How early did you start using it and how much did you give daily? Do you keep her crated all of the time when your males are in the house? It would probably be the safest but at least they can stay in the house, I guess. Where did you buy the chlorophyll?

go to http://www.greatdanelady.com/articles/controlling_odors_when_your_bitch_is_in_season.htm to control the odors. Keep them in a seperated rooms. If your male is use to breeding... it is for the best to get him boarded up somewhere.

GS MOM, Trailrider, PLEASE tell me where ya got the stuff! And any other information you can share about it, it truly sounds great, and its nice to hear someone had good results with it! I can't wait to try it! I wonder if its expensive...not that it matters if I really don't want them to breed, but it is important. Thanks guys, all of you, and all of the suggestions were great! blueskyekennels, To get Chlorophyll go to your local GNC store. Ask for the liquid.

By the way do not get the mint.. It tastes like crap!

Thanks Brittany, but isn't Chlorophyll a substance in plants, you know, the green coloring? Hmm, maybe I'm wrong? Either way, thanks for the help! Krista

In my experience there is NOTHING that prevents the male from being attracted to the female and putting up a fuss and some bitches will be just as bad..it's something we have to deal with and be prepared to handle. Right now I have an intact male and a bitch in heat crated in the same room, the female we bred is in another room. There is barking and howling and moaning but nobody has ever gotten out of their crate or kennel.....if that were to happen, must find a better kennel/crate I guess.. I was at our training group this weekend with Debbie Zappia and was able to take the males with me and my female I am working in the group and left all the other girls at home and the petsitter tended to them.... Took his mind off it for a while.....
