The English side of Duke's pedigree is screwed up/inaccurate--going back to Sheba. Look, Duke was born in 1999 (I believe), right? How can he have another ancestor 5 generations back that was born in 2004??
I'm sincerely sorry about your loss and the suffering you both endured. However, Duke's SLE cannot be attributed to "excessive linebreeding" (as ALPHAPUP contends)--any more than the human's I've known afflicted with with Lupus are excessively linebred.
"Immune-mediated" does not mean "auto-immune", per se. There are many conditions thought to be immune-mediated (Lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromylgia, hypothyroidism--to name a few). Somehow, something (could be an illness, trauma, vaccine, toxin, surgery, anesthesia--who knows?) manages to attack the body's immune system so that it does not recognize the body's own "self" as such but rather as something "foreign" (non-self) and targets, attacks, and systematically destroy it.
Simplistically put, the whole basis of immunization is based on the body's so-called "anamnestic response"--when the its defense system "remembers" the second exposure of an invading substance ("antigen") and produces "antibodies" specific against that antigen. However, with immune-mediated diseases, something has caused this immunologic "memory" to run amuck.
At best, we can possibly say that a given condition MAY be "genetically predisposed" (not heritable or genetic)--given exposure to a triggering set of circumstances. The pity is that immune-mediated diseases may not be traced to an known set of genetic "markers".

Yes I know, Louise
I have already submitted the correction. The pedigree is correct up to Yola of Bedwin which where I submitted the information to. I do not know where the rest of her pedigree information came from as I did not submit it. All the other information on the site is correct. I advised that Yola's parents were unknown as her dam is not yet registered. She was Bella vd Abtei Werken and her sire was Elch v Holtkampersee. The only enlish side I cannot trace is two generations back from Gemini Treen.
Thanks for the information

I notice the line that you were talking about Louise so I have submitted an amendment for that as well. Anderuss Yola is out of Alekto of Bedwin and Gemini Treen. Gemini is out of Status Quo of Pendledene and Maritissa of Treen. Status Quo was out of Masuta Pfeffer of Tanfield and Anjou's Nina. Maritissa of Treen is out of Gorrets Duane of Treen and Lisa of Brandle. I have not managed to go back any further than that.
Have a good xmas all of you

assuming the revised pedigree is that of Duke (Anderuss Cimba), this is his linebreeding:
5 - 5,5........................................... in VA1 Uran vom Wildsteiger Land
4 - 4............................................. in VA1 Quando von Arminius
5 - 5............................................. in V Xaver von Arminius
5 - 5............................................. in V Palme vom Wildsteiger Land
This doesn't appear to me to be excessive. People are too quick to assign all health problems to linebreeding. As I said previously, I doubt that there are genetic markers for most immune-mediated disorders. No one may ever know the "trigger" that elicited Duke's SLE.
Again, my sympathy for your loss of Duke.
