Ramgsd- I read your extensive comments in an older post. I was trying to reply to that one but I had to start a new one here. There is a lot of interesting info you brought to light.

Lee- I would love to speak with you. PM me or call me 786-366-4033. I am a big fan of your dog's mother line and of course she is the sis to BSP 2011 Ginoginelli. :))

Like that dog. Alot.
When doing a search reverse linebreeding on Asko, found this.

http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/dog.html?id=1360310
The thought behind the breeding suggests that breeder feels the same way about Asko as you do. Probably one of the most well thought out linebreedings I have seen. Kinda makes me drool a little.
Would be nice if you could find this female.

Mating would look like this. Linebred on Asko motherline.
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/breeding.result?father=548227&mother=491911
Or this female.
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/dog.html?id=513253
Mating would look like this. Also linebred on Asko motherline.
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/breeding.result?father=548227&mother=513253
Been staring at those two females I found..Anyone know there whereabouts? Who owns them? My wife is going to kill me..But still, now it is going to bother me.

smith - information on the female is missing. If she checks out I would say awesome, with potential to be bad. I would keep those pups in a very close circle knowing that by breeding 2-4 there are risks. Breeding that close usually means you are trying to accomplish something knowing the risks. If you know more about the female I would update her info.
I like it.

Wow Live4schutzhund, some nice simulations. Smith I agree, gotta keep a close eye on those progeny, but is there another way to breed? lol
I am really liking the posts. What I would like to hear still is comments on not just breeding plans or bloodline reports, as I am fully respectful of those. but also the drive qualities and how they manifested from Asko progeny and how much of those qualities are similar from dog to dog. It would be really cool for others to share their experience, where applicable of training interactions with these bloodlines.
For me what makes Gonso interesting on the pedigree, is the combination of the mother line with Asko, maybe bringing a bit more balance and stability to the nervyness, which has sometimes been attributed to Asko.
I think it is a great learning experience for the people in the breed to compare the phenotype to the suspicions we may have about the genotype. For instance, anyone who has interacted with e.g. a famous male's progeny - sons, would see varying degrees of the the traits from that father.
Now when we can share these comparisons and observations we can better understand the characteristics of the actual dog in front of us and possibly predict with great accuracy what outcomes may occur ( greater accuracy lol ;) )
Thoughts ?
