You sound like our present administration. "I don't know what you are talking about". All I have to say is that this is a sport that is enjoyed by many of us and your trying to tear it apart is pretty pathetic. Carole has always been very positive about the sport and all that Mac wants to do is teach helpers to be safe and correct. I have personally seen Wayne's work (which Les has said in the past has been very good), and he does a great job. It sounds like you had a successful competition, so move forward. This type of devisivness does not help our sport in any way.

As I said, I was there and observed much of what's recorded. If you did not attend the regionals and see for yourself, you have no business saying what is recorded here for people to read is not true and did not happen. I too personally saw Wayne's work at the trial. I held my breath and hoped Nanuk was not seriously injured as a hit like that can do. Wayne may one day be a good helper. I too enjoy the sport. I am hoping some changes will help bring more together not give power to the few elites that think they answer to nobody but themselves.

Few elites like Les??? I'm sorry , you are so full of crap. Let's just end this discussion now.

maxi, I asked and asked and you refuse to answer. Did you personally attend the regionals and observe what is recorded here? If you did not, you have no business trying to make people believe it's not true. Again, we were there, we saw, we listened. We saw most of what's been shared here. We sat through the Judges dinner, excuse me the "DVG Officials Stars Awards" dinner. We listened to their long winded patting each other on the back. We saw the dogs getting potentially injuring stick hits. We listened to the petty put down comments by the "officials" the whole weekend. You obviously belong, or think you belong, to the DVG officials inner circle. As I said earlier. Les still has my respect after that weekend, the "officials" do not.

"I have read the letter carefully and looked at all of the emails and I have to say that CSC has a bizarre way of twisting the truth." (maxi) I was impressed with how thorough it was. Maybe you can post something that complete and detailed to refute it? I agree with Bob-O, I hope the DVG membership will read these articles and weigh things out for themselves. I also hope members of other organizations will take a moment to read, as these kinds of issues can be seen in other organizations too. The memberships need to be aware, and can make a difference.

Maxi, Would you care to identift yourself? I happened to be a member of Cascade amd present through the entire event. I can corroborate everything in the letter that was posted. Personally, I have been deeply offended by the utter lack of support from "The Powers that Be (or think they be) " in DVG, particularly the regional president. I have NEVER seen such behavior from an organization's official, even in a dog club. I made multiple requests for an agenda for the regional meeting DIRECTLY to Reid. I never got anything, other than ONE response that there was no agenda "yet." This was within a couple weeks of the meeeting. (Note: USA's national and even regional meeting agendas are sent out a month or more prior to the meeting). The regional meeting apparently only lasted 25 minutes. I say this because it was scheduled for 6, I atrrived at 6:25, to find people standing around drinking beer. I was laughingly told it was over. Hmmmm Later, at the judge's dinner, the individuals behaved in the most rude and self-indulgent manner by holding "their" award ceremony for items ( long-term membership pins, an officer's retirement, etc.) that should have been the focus of the regional meeting, NOT the judge's dinner. AND, minimal, microscopic, miniscule and and myiasmic recognition of the championshio...and the people who made it happen. I would also point out that the regional president and his club UTTERLY FAILED TO SUPPORT the championship with any entries. No, clubs from Utah and Colorado supported with entries. Clubs from Canada attended to support. But, NONE of Reid's club members (other than Ray and maybe his wife) even bothered to attend, much less actually enter. Frankly, if Reid's club ever bothers to bid on and host a regional event, I hope he receives EXACTLY the same type of support he extended to Cascade--NONE. Now, I am bitch enough that I can guarantee that Reid will receive the same type of support from me. Unfortunately (and I do think it is unfortunate because it leads to him being taken advantage of by people), Les Flores will support even Reid and his club, should they ever step up to host such an event. I am also bitch enough that I sign my name to posts on open forums, such as this. I would invite "Maxi" to sign his or her name to his or her posts. Nia Cottrell

I use "bitch" as a complement, as very rarely is a stupid, incompetent, or cowardly woman called a "bitch." :-) But, a cowardly man is always a bitch.

(maxi) Are you admitting that the present administration responds that way when questioned about things? Also, I was never under the impression that animules or mystere was tearing apart the sport, but rather pointing out that some people enjoy having their own little kingdoms kept intact. If in fact what was written in those articles was true (and it seems to be supported quite well), then there needs to be some serious changes. Without changes, the sport will slowly but surely grind to a halt.
