Shtal, do you really want to talk morality, do you really want to go there?
If atheists are so immoral, why is it that they make up 15 - 19% of the overall population in the US yet the overall prison population is .021% Atheist and 74% Christian? Yeah, that religion is working out quite well, I see! And guess what? Atheist pedophiles are so low in percentage, they don't even register a percentage in that particular category! Can't say the same for the religious, now can we?
Some of us don't need the the threat of eternal damnation to keep us on the right path, somehow we find it all by ourselves! Isn't that amazing? But please, if religion is the only thing keeping YOU from stealing, raping and murdering, keep at it!

Evolution teaches: Death and suffering brought men to the world which means you don't need Jesus Christ.
(Based on the evolution teaching there is no meaning of life, you came from Evil "death and suffering" and you will die like one)
Bible says: Men brought death to the world because of the sin which is exacltly why God had send his son Jesus Christ.
(For every sin that is committed the reward for sin is death unless you bring sacrifice)

So Romans 5:12 tells us by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin: Death reign from Adam to Moses. 1 Cor. 15:21-22 by man came death, the Bible is very clear, but if evolution is true and we came from Evil "death and suffering" - you now have death before sin, clear heresy; not at all what the Bible teaches, Bible says 1 Cor. 15:26 Death is the enemy.

Yeah, I figured you wouldn't want to continue talking morality, no surprise there. Death and suffering is in the realm of religion, you seem to be getting confused. People are only evil when that's what's been pounded into their minds since birth. Indoctrination is an ugly thing. Free people are not evil, they're simply free people going about their lives.
And here's a little secret Shtal, LIFE is the meaning of life and there are some who would rather just enjoy it, because it's the only one they get!

OK I'll take a bite out of morality.
Now, I think your statistics in themselves are meaningless because well, the premise is invalid to begin with. If you are going to use a prison population to make a study on morality, I think you would go much further using the percentages of those incarcerated who are psycopathic or sociopathic. It is the lack of empathy that differentiates these inmates from the rest of society at large, that is more telling. For certainly we do know that being a Christian absolutely does not guarantee one is NOT a sinner and ergo, a lawbreaker.
So what does keep a sociopath honest? That is a much more interesting question with a real answer, I think. Certainly you can make your parallels, then, to a lack of faith expounded by the 20 percent of our total population at large that is purported to exist in such a diagnostic state, and their subsequent idea that a believer in an omnipotent, creator-being is the worst kind of self-deluded excuse for taking up space with the tiresome chore of always breathing.

You have that backwards Shtal, evolution IS proven.

Religion has not one thing to do with morality and actually, the opposite could be argued well. Why would NEED the a threat to be a good person? Think about that for just one minute. If that's the only reason for your morality, you're in a pretty sad state. And NEEDING it still does not make it true.
Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
