Most dogs really like Paul Newman's organic canned. Joanro, that smelled so good I tasted it and I'm telling you it would make a delicious sandwich. The Castor and Pollux Organix is also pretty darned good. You could also try some baby food; meat or cereal seems to be a favorite with most dogs. Good luck.

I have a bitch that will only eat raw chicken without skin and with all visibal fat removed from 4th week until whelping. Tried EVERYTHING else...
Once she whelps she resumes eating normal food.

Every dog is different.

I would get a blood sample submitted just to make sure nothing wonky is happening and if all is OK, feed her whatever she'll eat.

Hmmm right now she's on day 48. It's roughly been almost a week with her difficulty in feeding.
She's not huge though. But when she sits, there's a sort of firm mass that falls down to her lower abdominals. When she stands up, it distributes along her entire tummy so it's not as noticable.

She now eats in the morning, then 2pm, 6pm, then again at 10pm.
She eats all of it, except the 6pm, which she eats just half.

She'll only eat rice with wet food and gravy, and peanut butter. Yeah it's junky but at least she's feeding.
I sneak in 1/4 cup of her kibble just to get it in.

At times she only takes a few swallows and leaves half there, which can be annoying.
I've at times resorted to force feeding her, which I guess is a great way to get my hand bitten LOL. She resists but never bites back.

Well that's it. Any tips on things like this would be great.

if she is not showing much she may not have a big litter and that could  be why she is not too hungry, i would just give her what she wants as much as she wants, i would not force feed her, you dont want to stress her out. you only have a few more weeks left i hope it goes well for her.

Thanks Trixx.
Although without fixing up her food and sitting by her until she eats, she'll probably eat half of her pre-pregnancy food.
It's as though on the 6th week, she progressively filled up faster as the days go by.

And now that we're reaching the end of her 7th week, if the  food isn't as tasty as canned food with gravy, its as though it's not worth her effort to feed herself.
