Ontario could get hit pretty hard by this storm.

I've tried to catch up a bit on yardwork in the dog yard, because this may be my last time to do a thorough cleanup of the runs until Thursday. (They are covered with fallen leaves.)   I'm also going to get the sump pump that drains the outdoor runs fixed (plug is broken - I have the new one, just have to install it.)

My airtight fireplace insert has been operational since late September, so no worries about heat. I'll be off to the store shortly to get some mantles for my Coleman lanterns, then I'll top up the fuel in the generator, and test-fire it.

One of these days I will have to pay the money to hook the genny directly to the electrical panel, but for now, maybe I'd better buy a few more extension cords. I'm down to my last one.

I've only got one dog boarding. I will crate her and move her into the house of the power goes. Not looking forward to that, because she yaps a lot and pees every time I look crosseyed at her.... The kennel heat is 100% electric, unfortunately.  Sad Smile

I'm on a well, so I always have some spare bottles of water around in case the power goes. Probably shoud fill a few buckets for flushing the toilet, as well as a few more bottles for potable water.

As for cooking...I guess I could fire up the barbecue if the worst comes to the worst. Will cook up some dishes I can eat cold in advance. (Chicken, salads, etc.)

Probably should buy a hot plate I can plug into the genny, or learn how to use that old Coleman stove my hubby left behind when he died!

Ya, a pounding we will get here for sure. It's going to be a slow lingering Hurricane too, I read somewhere it's only moving 13 miles per hours.
It's nice and breezy here with rain drops off and on. The wind tempratures are going up and down radically. That's never good.

We were told by LEMA this morning at the breakfast meeting, everyone with a boat up here is to move it to the bottom of the mountain to a designated parking lot along the Interstate. That has never happened here before. "My Revolution" better NOT get stolen !!!! I don't think it will, we all anchored our boats to the Martin brothers "Power of Hickory" boat.  LMAO  His beast isn't going anywhere. LMAO

He's going to be pissed. LMAO
