Oh my not only Rottie x Aussie, gawd knows what could be in the mix. Rottie hit me in the first pic immediately. If you picture a stubby tail for either but think Aussie, look at the way he is positioned. IN that picture, I don't see hound. I was not even considering the brindle as I didn't mean ONLY those two breeds. Geez

Hoolas come in Spot solid brindle and almost like a harliquin < i think i spelled that right. and can be any coloration of white brown black ect. my friend ^^ link i added has solid colored hoolas aswell as the spotting

Plott Hound/cattle dog. I had a Plott hound/American Bulldog and she mostly resemebled a Plott but her mother was straight up johnson Bulldog.
There may be some rottie, coon hound, cur dog, pit bull and who knows what else. But if anyone asked me i'd say Cattle dog/ Plott. He's got a much thicker coat then a plott, but the swirley brindle points are very Plott like. And they often are black with some brindle points and white patches on the chest and feet.
Regardless very hansome dog. Hope he's workign out well for you.

Joanro, wouldn't have thought Catahoula or Plott likely to have that black and extensive a
saddle/blanket, no matter what else around its periphery ?  Rotties, however ...

He definitely looks like he has some Catahoula in him.
And they do come in brindle (see below).

haha no problem one of my family members is a hoola breeder and so i learned alot about the breed
