Just a small correction, either one of them will be running the world not only the US and should Romney be elected he'll just be another Bush and it'll be a disaster for our part of the world, it'll be America declaring new wars against our region and hence more blood shed and more stealing of region's resources.

I don't think that little blip about romney is true, Preston. There was a show on last night call Frontline Choice 2012--it was a 2 hour special about Obama and about Romney. I didn't get to see all of it but I did get the part about Romney running against Nixon and that was never ev er mentioned. And also I am NOT defending Romney in any way BUT those Mormans have certain ages when they have to go do things--like ride around on bicycles and hope they get invited here and there for a meal and it was his time to go. If you say it is funny he went to France during that time period. Well my guess is they go all over the world--and they talked about this woman who was a big todo with the Mormans over there and she sort of helped look after the young and first time missionaries--she got killed in a car wreck and he said how bad he felt about that. Also I thought they were like the Jehovah Witnesses and Amish, that all that is against their religion anyway and they are excused from going to war? AND IMO if they don't want to go don't make them go because they might act like an ass and do something bad to get a lot of Americans killed. Look what happened at Ft Hood. That guy was a traitor pure and simple.......................

Here is an update on the current Buzz from Chicago insiders.  The election is coming soon so we will see how accurate this reporting is.

Thumbs Up agree with Ibrahim.

Hundmutter, you make a point shared by many who think Romney is just a neocon frontman, which could mean other new wars in the Mideast. Folks that tend to be inclined to support Romney beleive he would create a better business environment as far as coal power production, oil drilling and other industries inside the USA.  As evidence they cite his success as Mass. Governer, a basically Democrat state where he was a known compromiser with Democrat leaders and built numerous coalitions.  So there is that possibility that he would be good for business and not as big an obstructionist against the Democratic party as feared.  Of course others point to his past as view him as a corporate raider like T. Boone Pickens and believe part of his record involves shadowy associations and offshore banking involvements. Some view Obama as Bush lite and se Romney as a continuation of the Bush regimes.

How much real difference would there be between both candidates?  So far Obama has refused to Attack Iran, but has deployed special ops and mercenaries in numerous African and Mideast countries (low intensity warfare or special operations). These efforts could easily set off a major confrontation with the Russians and even the Chinese who are deeply involved in Africa and have invested a geat deal there. So which candidate is the mmsot likely to get the USA into a mjor world war or another large Mideast war? It's not easy to estimate.  And of course there is always the possibility of a staged false flag attack on American Ships to force the US into a war most folks do not want now.

Some believe Romney would immediately attack Iran because he has rattled the saber numerous times and seems oriented to do that.  Some think Obama is planning to severly restrict the Second Amendment under a new UN Treaty on Small arms in his second term if elected.  But in the past Romney has been anti-gun too, so who knows how easily he could be manipulated by his handlers to be anti-Second Amendment.   So basically I view both candidates with so many serious issues that I can't support either. It seems like this presidential election is coming down to voting for the lesser of two evils. Determining that given the disclosures so far seem quite complicated.  Maybe Romney would be better, but who knows and we would all lose if either candidate starts WW3 or another major mideast war, which both are at risk of.  America is essentially bankrupt and we are sitting on an 800 Trillion dollar derivatives bubble that could burst any time.  As Europe destablilizes financially this strengthens Germany and the USA temporarily, but if the derivatives bubble bursts, the American economy will tank fairly quickly.   I certainly don't see any good changes coming from Obama.  And of course many have pointed out that the Republican Party's dirty tricks robbing Ron Paul of his chances for nomination or any speech at the Republican National Convention makes Romney's status as a candiadate much less supported since so many Ron Paul supporters will not support him.

Actually Preston it was Ibrahim's point, I just happen to think he is right.

Don't doubt that whoever is POTUS they will / are already continuing to
dabble and interfere in the middle east - and just about everywhere else;
like you say, its the lesser  of two evils.
