Could be why I found such a big one, now that I know woodchucks are snobs and connoiseurs!

Blitzen, that is why my sausage stuffing is great for just about everyone. If you don't like the squash part you don't have to eat it, but the sausage part, I dare you to complain about, LOL!  I even slice the mushrooms big enough to be seen so if you are like my eldest son, you can pick them out by sight.

I gave the puppy and Mojo the leftover cooked zucchini part that the big kid left behind, and  both dogs gobbled it right up!

Oh Bee a person after my heart--I would pick the shrooms out cause I really don't like them.

This is the thing about me and zucchini--I remember when I was a kid I was staying with my cousins. She had made some zucchini with the tomatoes and onions and all and I liked it soooo much I ate lots of it. Then I threw up all night and since then I have never cared about eating it too much. I know that is dumb because I like the taste of it...............

Wow Blitzen I didn't know that. My faverite squash is the yellow crookneck kind. I can eat it anyway it is cooked or not cooked. At Boston Market they had a side that was chesse, rice and yellow squash and it was to die for. When I worked by that one, I used to go in there and get a side to eat on the bus on my way home..............Sometimes I plant it in the spring and the dogs like it really well too.

I love reading you guys cooking threads. Since it is just me, I either make a big pot of something I can eat off for several days or sandwiches.............I don't care much for eating a balanced meal any more. My favorite big pot things to make are beef roast with lots of veggies and chicken and rice.

I miss having a garden....we used to grow zucchini that would just go crazy....we'd pick so many, use them, give them away, whatever, & still there'd be a couple left on the plant that would grow to be like baseball bats....too big & tough to cook! Next year the Zukes would start on their own! jackie harris

Looks a lot better than the stuffed zuccini my grandmother used to make.
I must admit, we had SO MUCH of that squash when I was a child, I will never, ever grow the stuff in my own garden. Everyone in the state of California who has a garden is forever trying to give it away, and one or two servings a year are plenty for me. LOL

Bee,

I made the stuffed zucchini for supper tonight. It was absolutely delicious. Everyone loved it.

The only thing I did different was I used Mozzarella Cheese and I didn't have any tomato juice so I used some spaghetti sauce.

When is the next episode of cooking with Miss Bee? LOL

Seriously it was great. Thanks for the recipe.

Bee,

I think that quote has been used in a lot of movies.

It was used back in 1971 in the movie "The French Connection". So that may have been the first time.
