Yes people lets not get nasty. This is the dogs Ped pic, so it may not even be current. Probably taken after she had a litter or 2 back to back.

She's pretty, I like her color and body style. Shoulder angulation is off, her tail looks like she was in a game of pin the tail on the donkey and didn't make it. She does look to have a baggy stomach area and it makes the underline look bad. She could be out of condition from a recent litter, or from lack of exercise. Overall I like her. No dog is perfect :- ) If you are breeding her, look at her breed survey to find out what the experts thought needed improvement and look for a boy who balances her faults. Good luck with your new girl. Sue-Ann

Maybe I'm looking at the wrong dog, SG Finn? I'm surprised no one has mentioned that her dam is listed as being severely dysplastic with little other information on hips in the motherline other than fast normals. I didn't see any hip information on the bitch herself either. This might not be the best breeding prospect? I'd sure think 100 times before breeding her if this hip information is correct even if she has an OFA excellent rating.

"I'm surprised no one has mentioned that her dam is listed as being severely dysplastic" The dam's listing also says that she is KKl 1, which she could not be if her hips were a5. So the information is incorrect one way or the other.

Blitzen, I do not think that a breeder ( or stud dog owner) of any kind would be stupid enough to mate to a Dysplastic dog. Thats like getting a tattoo stuck on your forhead that says "Sue me" and "stay away from me because I breed bad dogs". This website is open for the public... anybody could go to a dog and edit stuffs out... you cant be 100% sure on anything that you see here. IMO the female is alright.. the photo quality could improve by buying a better quality camera... like Canon Powershot A95 (which i use) which cost $244.50 and up. you may go to http://www.dpreview.com/ to view samples of other digital camera.

For sure there is some incorrect information listed for the dam. Stupid question, if this bitch earned her KKL1 in China, would she still have needed clear hips?

Britt, I'm pretty sure that are some around who would use a severely dysplastic dog for breeding and justify it somehow. Maybe the hip information was changed by someone with too much time on their hands. I understand there are a number of errors in the pedigrees on this board.

Being somewhat of a butterfingers on the keyboard myself, I could certainly see someone typing "a5" when they were trying to type "a6" for "ausland."
