Blitzen, the budget deficet is unsustainable and getting worse...... Where do you suggest the cuts be made?

by SitasMom on 29 August 2012 - 15:08

misquoted again.........

Another quote from Romney office.......
"The dysfunction in the Post-9/11 G.I. Bill program is inexcusable and part of a broader pattern of President Obama failing our veterans. He is raising health care costs on veterans, has quadrupled the number of veterans who have to wait months on end to receive their benefits, and created a jobs environment that has put a staggering 20.2% of our young returning veterans out of work. Governor Romney believes we must devote to veterans the care and attention they deserve, and as president he will do that."

I'm not an economist, so I don't know how to fix the economy. Do you? Austerity isn't working in Europe so my  gut tells me it won't work here either. We all vote for the party we think will do the best job and, frankly, I don't get a warm fuzzy feeling about a man who has no sense of what it is like to live like most of us or who will be influence by the Kochs, Norquist, and his country club pals. If that makes you feel confident, then by all means vote for Romney.

I guess everything on the Romney website is the gospel truth too?

by SitasMom on 29 August 2012 - 18:08

Blitzen - lets start by REDUCING the size and scope of the federal governemnt......
(for example - the newly proposed dog breeding legislation....).

IMO.....
we can make our business tax rates comparable to those of foreign countries
we can streamline required paperwork so business can get up and running more efficiantly
we can adjust our social programs (for those under 55, which I am one) to become more sustainable
we can help, not hinder, our country's ability to develop our energy sources and rely less on foreign sources.

we can stop hating people that have been sucessful......and instead strive to do the same....

The RNC reconvenes tonight at 6:40 pm EST. I don't even wanna go but I must ... all those POS and traitors in there have me all nerves. Last night before leaving we were told by the chairman tonight they will give us a tribute to Ron Paul ... can you believe these scum. It's supposed to air on CSPAN too. I have so much to vent about ... I'll refrain till I get safely home. We do have a plan B though for Ron Paul 2012 (LOL)

Romney is a puppet, Obama is a puppet. A vote for one is a vote for the other. I laughed when I read the article about Romney's stance on personal freedoms, which are chains. I also laugh when I hear Obama talk about freedoms, which are chains. One chains us to a chair and the other, to a bed.

Sistasmom, I didn't say Romney, I said Republicans, and yes, that group has voted against the GI bill and affordable Student Loans many times.  As for balancing the budget, how about making the taxes for the rich the same percentage as those paid by the middle class?  Many economists have shown that taxing the rich at the same rate as the middle class will generate millions.  When comparing the percent of gross income taxed, the rich are taxed at 1/2 to 1/4 of the middle class taxation.  If the middle class are taxed at 20% of gross yearly income and rich are taxed at 5% of gross yearly income (again, just numbers picked not actual taxation rates), that is a serious problem. The mistaken belief of the trickle down effect has been proven to be a farce.

Yes, Micaho, the trend of impeding voting rights should scare the crap out of everyone!!!!

Romney is a puppet, Obama is a puppet.

The single greatest threat to the future of this country is the red team and the blue team or accurately, just team as they are but one. Voting is so easy now a days. Vote the dead party, its always the best choice. If they want them dead from day one in office your children need that president. Grow a pair for your kids sake and vote dead party 2012.

The red pill.....  blows.
