Wait til the results from the biopsy are back. It could be something other than leukemia.

Thanks for the well wishes and honest comments everyone.

The lab will be checking for bacterial, fungal, tick and cancer so hopefully it will be something more easily treatable and less devasting to his working career.
I'll keep you all posted.

Always better to think of infection first. Was the dog running a fever, were the nodes tender and painful.

Is the dog missing meals and/or drinking a lot of water?  These are other signs of lymphoma.  If it is lymphoma you need to act fast because once you notice signs you only have 1-2 months (if not treated).  I hope it's something else.

He isn't missing any meals. I hadn't noticed any increased thirst until this morning but I think that was more a result of the anesthesia from yesterday.
He did throw up this morning after drinking a lot. Has seemed his old chipper self since then. I fed him after I got home from training this afternoon & he ate like normal.

I bet it is either tic borne or some other infection. We are all praying for you.

They at least did a 4dx plux snap test that can rule out several tic diseases in 8 min, and tested for lepto right then? Please let us know!
