OK apparently I can send a PM if it is very short. However I get 404 errors trying to send a PM answering several questions. Is there a character limit?

I keep sending test PMs to narrow down when it fails. I could send a PM that is 3800 characters but not one that is 4200. Maybe there is a 4000 limit?

Yes, there is a limit and I am not sure what that limit is.

I'm guessing the limit is somewhere near 4000. Weird that it returns a 404 error and not just saying the post is over the limit, unless it's suppose to return a page that states it's over the limit and *that* page doesn't exist hence the 404.
