Red sable, dogs that do not typically bark: Basenji; New Guinea Singing Dog. This person claiming that dogs should never be allowed to bark and that it is always aggression does not know the most basic thing about dogs..communication. Maybe a chia pet would be more appropriate for the op, they NEVER bark ! LOL.

Interesting!  thanks joanro.

I'm pretty blessed with a dog that only barks when there is reason too.  The whining I can do without!

What should we do if a cat meows?

lol GSDguy....well, if it's a meowing cat it should probably be muzzled and declawed, otherwise it'll shred your poor huskies (that is, if your huskies don't bark...if they do bark then the cat will get a run for it's money.)

haha.   My Huskies do howl, does that count?  I remember one night Sierra found a cat in the wheel well of my car.  She grabbed it out immediately, and the cat clawed at her......but Sierra screamed in a rage as she killed it in a matter of seconds.   So if a dog can scream.....what does that mean about the dog? lol.   This is the same dog, I swear, I could use as a therapy dog for people lol.  She's so sweet and calm......and then if there is live prey in the yard she turns into "Kujo" (spelling?). I don't allow my dogs to go after things typically, but if I don't see it and it's in our yard......well....
