People respond to printed words, like reading a book. You just have to weed through and use what's useful, and overlook what you don't like.

Thanks. Actually, I know those terms, and I don't mean those. What I mean is specifically related to the tail, and it is considered a reason behind tail defects in GSDs. It says in the standard, AKC at least, that it is considered a serious fault. I am trying to determine, though, if a dog with ankylosis in the tail is more likely to have the things you mentioned too. I hope not.

I have seen a GSD puppy that was born with a tail of 2 vertabae and they were joined together the second was twisted pointing upwards.
This puppy was fine in every other way until the other puppies in the litter were up and walking/running around then it became obvious that this puppy had other things going on.
He could stand normally but could only bunny hop, xrays were never done but he had other spinal/pelvic deformities and was PTS at 6 weeks.
I hope that your puppy is ok.

Thanks....hope mine is okay too! So far he appears to be really normal and runs and plays. I don't see any other signs other than the tail, but may just do an x-ray of his tail and whole spine to be on the safe side for now.
