Would you tell us how did you specify to the breeder what you would expect of it, and what observations of the litter (you/he did have to choose between two) the breeder
made to comply with your expectations.
Even if you and the breeder know each other well enough that no exchange of communication on the selection was necessary, would you tell us your mental process.
Whatever you or the breeder said or thought would be most valuable, IMO.

The "process" is simple --- we talk about what we like -- and we trust we will get a good match for us and our other dogs. We have never been disappointed.
As it stands today -- this is quite

Thanks. His registered name is KAMAN vom KIRSCHENTAL, named for the late Charles and Robbie Kaman, founders of FIDELCO Guide Dog Foundation, and our friends for over 30 years.
His call name is KONA - named for the town on the Big Island of Hawaii. Had to keep some of my Hawaiian roots (born and raised).
I recently learned that in Germany they consider KONA a name for a female, but I can't make that association with a "town" -- so Kona it is. Pretty soon all you'll be hearing is KONACOME !! HaHaHa. (not to be confused with Kona Coffee !!)

Some early observations.....Lufthansa had me go around the side of the building to the loading dock/ramp - instead of bringing him out to the front like they have done in the past.
While I'm waiting for the workers to bring over a huge crate with a great dane -- I see a smaller cart with my little puppy crate. Then I huge fork-lift starts backing up toward him - beeper going like crazy - and I see the little guy peek out the side-- and start wagging his tail -- he's like --
"wow - that looks like fun, can I play with it?" --
After I sign more papers and get him in the car, we drive back around to the front where there is some grass -- and I slip the very light puppy collar on him and attach the leash.. Then we had to have a talk about the leash - I said - "you have to wear this out in the world" - he said -- NO WAY !!" -- i had to repeat it several times - until finally he agreed reluctantly - with 'i'll wear it for now - but i'm not going to walk around !" - So as I get him onto the grassy area (very near the road) a very big TRUCK goes by - and again - he looks up - like -- eh - no big deal. and the truck thunders by... Now I'm going Wow - again -- nothing is bothering him -- the noise of that truck scared me -- but not him .. Within 3 minutes a BUS goes by -- and I watch him again and there's still NO reaction --
i don't expect puppies to be scared of these things - but it can be a little frightful when you're not even 9 weeks old and it's the first time you're seeing/hearing these things.
so -- you get the idea. He's great. We stopped at my friends house cuz it was on the way home- and he met her little terrier -- who's the same size as him - and he made friends right away. He didn't mind that the little dog was a "different" color -- (cream) ....
He was quiet in the crate on the ride home (almost 3 hours) - and he ate a cup of meat a little while after we got home -- Now he's gonna go check out the back yard, before dark --
I think we'll save meeting Zeta and Zane until tomorrow -- Little man has had a very busy day. !!
