Oh so glad you threw that in Bob-O. I knew about that and forgot to add it in. Thanks for the reminder. It's been so long without a flea infestation that needed such drastic measures, I had forgotten.

By the way guys, I did locate that Dyson Animal vac at the local Koels. They have 2 ranging from $350 to $550. Now that I know it's around I will keep my eyes peeled for a better price at other locations.

You might be better off burning the bags. The flea eggs will hatch inside the bags and I'm not sure moth balls would prevent that from happening. Dyson vacs don't have bags, so you'd have to dispose of the contents of the cannister.

i use bio spot on all my dogs with great results. i live in florida where we have fleas year round. our property is heavily wooded to. i have found a very effective way to remove fleas from yard. mix equal parts ivory dish soap and beer and apply it with hose sprayer. this can be used in house too, if you dont mind beer smell.

Blitzen, even if the eggs do hatch, the larvae will die very quickly. The eggs do absorb the pesticide from the mothball vapours, because the outer wall of each egg must exchange carbon dioxide-oxygen with the outside. In this regard an insect or arachnid egg is the same as a poultry or reptile egg. Bob-O

capstar is a pill that you can give to both cats and dogs, I have never heard of anyone having issues with it. It will kill all the fleas and ticks on your animal within an hour or 2 after taking it. extremely effective for immediate results, however it will only kill fleas and ticks for up to about 24 hours. If you have a bad infestation then you need to attack fleas from many different angles... fleabomb your house and vehicle spray your yard give capstar to the dog for immediate relief I prefer the frontline drop and spray over the other products, but choose a flea product that will last at least 30 days on your dog to apply as well. I remember having to fleabomb my house once, years ago. Yucky-poo. What a fricking pain. Thanks for the memory, urmangsd!

The next flea-related thread will most likely be about tapeworms LOL.
