You are absolutely right windwalker.  A very sad situation all around.  I feel very sorry for her too.

"Glad her husband taught her a GSD and a twelve guage are her two best friends"
--- Um, it's Oklahoma.  She probably learned that at her mama's knee.  Lord knows us Texas girls get our first gun long before our first bra.

i have never even seen a real gun be fired..

I used to do target practice with a 22, that is the extent of my experience.

Good post windwalker.
I can't imagine the terror she felt as that scum tried to force his way in the door.

--- I literally can't imagine that.  I don't remember the first time I shot a gun, but I know I was younger than 8.  I got my first hunting rifle when I was 10 and my first pistol at 13.  I'm a female and it always kind of amuses me when people assume that when a woman knows how to shoot, her husband must have taught her.

"...surprised nobody vomited up the breeding of GSD's who weren't titled or x-rayed as well."

I just hadn't gotten to it it yet.  So you don't see her as having been victimized by her "husband"?

Im sure she is not celebrating her kill. She was protecting her child. Attacking the age difference is a cheap shot since the age of consent in Ok is 16. Like it or not, thats the law.

My heart goes out to her on several levels, that's for sure. Poor kid needs a fresh start.

I just was taught (yes, by my husband) to shoot a few months ago and I guess I showed an aptitude for it, but I also had a damn good teacher. Stuff like this is exactly why.

Oh, ok, well that makes it better.
