ACK9, You didn't make much sense in your posts. EchoMeadows gave no indication they were stopping with a BH, just that they were taking the first of many steps.

maybe I am not good at writing and expressing myself, I am not trying to say that my dog is better than the dobie , HE IS! And it means nothing to her or I as far has what her dog is to her.She knows my dog is,is he the best? no! so for you to say that I have some ego about it is a bit silly .I also apologize for writting HEY I was quick to write and I am not good at it. Echomeadows answered to my first response well, obviously he understood what I was saying and I'm glad he is going further with his dog , the more training you do with your dog the more good or bad qualities you see in your dog and a lot of it will be reproduced. My point is again know your dogs qualities before you breed , why is that such a bad thing? And my point about the Football player is that no handler wants to go to his club trials and sit and watch every trial, after years of training his dog for the sport.

I just want to say THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH !!! Oh my gosh you guys are awesome !! So supportive and good points for me to keep in mind, trainers already told me I was in trouble, Twister sleeps with "mommy" (that's me) so he knows when I'm under stress, Trainers told me keep smiling and don't let him see you stress or he's gonna panic wonder what's wrong with "mom" LOL I will remember Breath and Smile !!
Thank You again so much for being so supportive, This is just the beginning and WooHoo I'm sooo ready for it :-) Love you ALL !!!

Echo you seem so happy! I could hear your Hoopin' and Hollerin' through the monitor. Good for you. Keep it positive. He's going to read you, thats for sure. Hopefully when he feels your stress, he will work all the harder for you. Cause everybody knows, nobodies happy if momma aint happy! :)
I'm sure you will fill us in on how it goes, so I wont bother asking. I'll just be here waiting for the answer. Hoep all goes well. I'm all excited for you now!

I understand what ACK9 was getting at....
I thought my female would have made a great breeding dog and I would have bred her (if she didn't have HD). I didn't know what I know now...back then. But she had her BH, CDX, RN, TC, NJ, TDI/CGC and has excellent prey drive, at the time I thought that proved her working abilities. It wasn't till I got involved in SchH that I really realized her major working faults. She's extremely gunshy, even falling to pieces if the helper cracks the whip. I later found out she got this from her mother. If her mother was bred WITH a SchH title I don't think I'd have this problem. As ACK9 said...
"My point is again know your dogs qualities before you breed"
I agree, but wish Echo my sincere well wishes and continued success in the sport. I just got my first SchH1 (on my male) and have appreciated all the support and encouragement that has been given to me.
Good luck Echo,
Melanie

As a German I can only send you my best wishes, have a lot of fun, be proud of yourself and your dog, whatever happens, you trained him, you didn¿t send him anywhere else for titling. It¿s your work and it¿s your success, this weekend or later, but it¿s yours!
It¿s a very good idea to keep in touch with other breeders, who use other bloodlines, why doesn¿t anybody try to understand your thoughts? There are a lot of good dogs in the States, you only need to make use of them!

Echo,
Unfortionately I live in Ohio so I don't think there is a good chance to meet up, but I love both the working and showlines and am a fan of the "whole" dog too.
There are some really awesome breeders IMO in the pacific northwest areas, some of them blend american and german lines.
TeMar
Fairway
Appleridge (canada)
Bullinger (canada too)
(note for the canadian kennels...not sure where they are really located...but whenever I think canadian kennels I just assume they are the farthest possible location from me! lol)
uhhh...Heuvel is working lines only but I think some of their dogs...like Congo Vikar, have some awesome structure.
there are more...I'd have to look for them though, but I know that your area has a lot of real nice dogs and breeders and one of these days I'm going to take a trip and see most of them...I hope!
Courtney
