Thanks for everything you did for her.  I currently have  Chihuahua and her 7 puppies, she was found running stray. Today I picked up an Aussie Mix and her 8 puppies who were born in a shelter on Thanksgiving.  There is nothing better than watching these dogs blossom into a happy healthy dog.

What a wonderful outcome, your heart led you true that day it turned you back. She looks amazing and so contented. Yes, rescue does do a body good....the soul too.

I wish I had the means, the money, the space and the time to rescue full time.  So many of you have done so much more.  If we all could save just one...

I have my 'one' that I saved, she was 14 months old. I followed her for her whole life through, with updates from the wonderful person who took on a truly messed up GSD, and turned her life around. I got photo's of her doing agility demonstrations to raise money for charity and reaching the highest peaks in the Lake district on her holidays. Then eventually I got a lovely letter 2 years ago telling me in the tenderest terms of her passing at the age of 12 and a half, and of how they had loved her, and she them. I knew what it was before I opened it. It brings tears to my eyes even now, and I still have the letter and all her photos.  Yes, it does a body good. She will always be there to heal your soul even when the time comes that she has lived her good life and passed out of this world.

I love to hear stories like this, especial around the holiday season. So many homeless animals would love a forever loving home & if everyone really did just help one it would be a true blessing.
I've rescued & fostered 100+ dogs over the years, each have touch my heart in their own way. Some stand out more than others, but each recovery from original rescue state to adoption ready were all small miracles. But to be the one to transform a dog's life in any form from rescue / foster/ transporter, etc. does something very special to renew your spirit.
You did a great job & Boo looks just wonderful! Abby your story was also heart warming & brought back memories.
