what is the highest and American has finished in the WUSV w/ a H.O.T dog?

My guess would be Glenn Bennett with Buck Von der PFlaz. Finished 2nd I think in 1992 the Year Orry von Haus Anterpa won it.

this is going to be a battle to the end it seems. Fritz Biehler is one point behind wallace going into protection. Wallace has to finish the obedience with his dog. Doug Deacon is very tough on the obedience it seems this year. Lets root for Wallace and Merlin it would be nice to finally have a world champion in the states. Ceddy

Ceddy, I agree. Nice to see Wallace doing so well. Consistency at this high level has been stock in trade for this team. Nice powerfull as well as corrcet dog. Excellent nerves. Congrats!

Don't be misled by Zender's slip and fall, and him consequently failing protection. Zender is still considered to be the most powerful dog in Belgium. Based on what he has produced so far, he is producing quite well. The Belgium team looks to have come up short this year however, this is a very powerful team, that happened to have a few bad breaks. Hopefully Zender will return next year to stand on the podium, his rightful place. He is on the list with the greatest dogs. My young Zender's son shows the same powerful attack, like his sire.

Even the best dogs have a bad day. Thats why its called dog sport, anything can happen. I do not think you can judge a dog by one bad competition. I feel the overall needs to be looked at, and lets face it any dog/handler team that has made it to this level is awesome. Imagine all the work these competitors have done, you know that they do not come here to fail, some top dogs have had brain cramps in this comp so far, doesn't make them any less awesome, it just wasn't thier day. Good luck to all competing and congrats for making it there!

Wallace needs only 93 to take it away! He is close to a worldtitle. Keep your fingers crossed!

Wallace got a 90 in obedience

by ceddy on 08 October 2006 - 00:10

wallace dog blew the sit in motion. That is the difference between first place and third it seems. So close but so far away. The world champion from last yr and the same issue it seems this yr as well. It was nice trial to go out with though. It was a nice ride for WAllace and Merlin. Wallace has said he will retire him after this event. On the plus side of it. If Tfloyd can pull off 85 or better in obedience the american team will win the world title in the team event. Go T Ceddy
