Easy Thunderthighs, those of us who've been around the sport and around dogs for a lot of years don't make false claims about our animals,,,,, that seems to be reserved for newbies and PP knuckleheads.

"Sportfreunde" (plural) and "Sportfreund" ( male) and "Sportfreundin" ( female} are the right expressions, without the s in the middle.
Schutzhunder should be "Schutzhundler" and it is rather some sort  of a nickname. hope this helps.
All the best

K9 Ulf, would it be correct to use Hund in front of Sportfreunde? As in Welcome, Hund Sportfreunde!
I believe if you use the word hund and sport together it translates to agility dog (at least that is the way it seems in the German magazine we get that I can't ever read LOL).
