SitasMom's post reminds me of someone I know who talks ALL THE TIME about how much they paid for their border collies. Turns out, it was $450, and the breeder didn't even test for MDR1 mutation...

Do you guys live in Texas too ?? I had a lot of people come out and basically, from what I could get from them is they wanted a dog shaped like a GSD. I was at a loss for words for a bit. I told them that these pups would probably not be the GSD shaped dog they were looking for.

GSD Shaped ??? Lol Well I got my first Shep at 16 from a lady who placed her....she didnt match the wallpaper...People are nutty that's for sure.

The other day a prospective buyer and his family came to see my puppies. The wanted the biggest, baddest, meanest puppy I could find...... his wife, and daughter (about 5) were terrified with 8 week puppies, and his son (about 2) wanted to grab them by their ears and tails. He said the dog was going to live in the house and protect them.......
Is much as I wanted to sell a puppy, I just couldn't.

Yeah, I live in TX, and some asshat in my town keeps selling Czech-bred dogs that aren't good work prospects to people who know NOTHING about dogs. So they're really drivey and pretty hard dogs, but not quite enough to work- but still terrible pets.

"Well, I just tell him to sit and he doesn't. Look at him. He knows what I'm saying!"

I have three in my classes. Gorgeous dogs- two sables and a bicolor. Just awful family pets, though.

I'd just ignore it. I've gotten strange emails before with my Huskies, and for dogs that I've never even owned lol. Some people are.......different.... I'll put it that way

AWW come on email her back and tell her you have just what she needs, you have an 8 wk old gaurd dog that will grab the "bad guy" buy the pant leg and drag him away :)
