I agree Wallace is a very very good dog and also a very good producer.
I think, because Leonhard Schweikert would not write Wallace on an other name as owner (like a lot people do) and he had to be at the German Siegerschau as a Judge, Wallace was not able to be shown.
That is how I think it happened.

I agree with the proposition. And hope that the SV. will keep an eye on that in the future. It is not fair to all when that kind of favoritism falls on the few and there GSD. There are many great GSD lines out there and hopefully they will be considerate. Thanks,Servus Marie

Babe,
Having a judge stay with you or judge your dogs doesn't always mean the judge will be bias. I showed my male under a judge that stayed with organizers of the show. My male got V1 and the male she handled got V3. I think it just depends on the male. Wallace is a nice dog that i produced decent dogs.I just think most of the progeny has a lot to do with the females more than him.
Sumo,
I also heard from a very reliable source that Wallace wasn't the best biting dog. Dogs out of Scott tended to be weakier in the protection it seemed. This may be part of it as well. Im just guessing here. i know alot of his progeny weren't very good in protection from what ive seen of them. Politics plays alot in production of a dog too. Certain dogs get breedings because of the politics. If you are showing under a certain judge then if you breed to his dogs. the chances of him putting up the progeny is much better. Sorry but this is reality. This his how its done in germany. We just believe placements is about structure and movement. Politics helps as well. The thing for us to look at is not placements but progeny as well as which dogs are getting breedings. Baru haus Yu got lots of breeding later in life because of his progeny not placements. Quentin Karaberg keeps getting breeding because he is producing. Now if you can get a dog that produces decent and is political as well then that would be a big choice in my opinion. Wallace was one of those dogs.

Ceddy,
your reply is quiet satisfying. Being bias is human nature. You can not avoid or change that. It happens in almost every dog show in the world. Thanks for the your opinions.
