I know you guys remember the Koos Hassing video. NIGHT AND DAY comparison.
No, I didn't see that one. Does anyone have a link? If not, what happened in that one? Did the dog go ballistic because a kid got near its food?

Now I know that there are no kids in the Koos Hassing vid. but I dont think kids could come near those dogs while they are eating. Could be wrong.

this is how many kids get bitten every year letting a child harass a dog while it eats is not a good idea as cute as it looks

You know I agree with that. It looks cute but the dog could snap.

There is a biological difference in dogs and in people...and when it comes to eating food it often is highlighted. People eat in social settings, and dogs eat and usually with an eye out to protect their food from being taken. This is the way of the pack....people may try to change this, but a dog that eats this way,(without wanting to be bothered), is correct to its species.

I have an 18 month old son and my Shepherd is so gentle with hin it is almost beyond belief. German Shepherds for some reason have a bad reputation but they are usually beautiful dogs.
The temperament of a dog is usually similar to that of the owner. When I got my current dog, Jerry Lee, our breeder said to me "You can usually tell the temperament of a dog by the amount of tatoo's on the owner." I thought that wasn't a bad analogy.
I have added a pic of my dog just because I think he looks really cool. hehehe.

It was a really sweet video-but at the same time kind of annoying-the adults just laughed while the baby bothered the dog. I guess they knew the dog wasn't going to bite the child

I think dogs should be left in peace when eating. I found the video annoying as well as disturbing.

I've bred many pups like the Koos videos, except they'll actually leave their food to attack you instead of just growling over it. I should've taken some videos. Before they leave, if they're going to a pet home, I have to correct this and correct it hard so they go back to simply growling over their food and don't actually attack anyone approaching.
Why anyone would allow a child to bother a dog while eating is beyond me. It's either dangerous to the child or totally unfair to the dog, in the case of a dog who wouldn't bite a child. Just plain STUIPID.
