the answer to vikrams question is that it depends on what grandchildren and great grandchildren of mentioned males you use for breeding
furthermore ,tenmon , im all for linebreeding so no need to convince me
some breedings I did

Yes Dusty is a very well bred dog but he himself has yet to see if he can keep the line going, although i have seen the dog work with his handler Julian quite a few times, i believe he has yet to sire Pups that have worked, in fact i do not think any have been bred from him yet

Duke I'm not familar with your line of GSD. My GSD is all WGSD. So please forgive my ignorance on your pedigree. With that in mind and from what you have said about you being a great believer of linebreeding and tack on your statement defining what line breeding is, taking all that into consideration ......from your breeding, what particular dog are you lining your dogs on? Heck! Your pedigree shows many. After you have define what your focal point is then, please back that up with your last statement about grand childrend etc. Show me what traits that particular dog bring to the table, and what dogs/bitches improved your breeding and how, etc. I guarantee that many of the readers are confused!

The only reason I put Dusty's pedigree up was to show the line on Fero. That was all. This dog was also 3rd Wusv in Spain last year. But then look at Max and his progeny. I do like how Dusty's genetic pool is so intensified, but it needs a cross and if this person was on target, get something out of Max's line on to him

i also second the opinion that all the linebreeding in the world will only take you as far as the parents.
that being said, if i had to pick one, i would chose Troll von der Bosen Nachbarschaft. better history of production.
bob,
i wouldnt say the second is too close. you would want to pay close attention to tempernment and health issues. there is the risk of compounding health isssues. is it worth it? only the breeding can decide that. if the pups come out with a lot of problems than no. than again if they come out healthy with great drives it would be worth the chance.

this is my 10 month old female.
While I like the breeding..the female hasn't shown...(yet) like her pedigree says she should:-)
Time will tell!

Actually i,m kinda surprised at how many people have contacted me on the breeding inquiring on available pups. I,d think by know similar breedings would of filled the field at this point in the game.
The second breeding I,d like to do for this fall (Axel X Pippa) I don,t own that female but would have her here for the summer and to raise the litter.
