Pirates Lair

Jen - You make me laugh, I have done it for real. You will never see the real thing, 1- because I cannot, and will not post it. There are people on this forum who have seen it because as Law Enforcement they were entitled to see it and understand it.

2- Because you could never understand it.

I have in the past posted my qualifications/experiences and credentials as well as videos.

How about...how about you and Sport Guy enlighten the world with your qualifications, experiences and a video or two.

Just of your training.......

My God, jealousy is a horrible thing.

Kim, I have never watched any of your videos, don't care about your "qualifications" experiences, etc., and  have never bothered to expend more energy on you than it took to block you from PMing me. Don't know how many times I need to reiterate that. Not sure why you need to feel like I care about you in some way or that this is somehow personal.  It most certainly is not. I opened this thread thinking it was something more than the usual "look at me, everyone!" threads you usually post, but alas, I was wrong.

What would I be jealous of?! You obviously don't know me at all, WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY POINT!

My ONLY point, which I thought was QUITE CLEAR is that you all need to step outside the box and realize that you know very very little about people on the forums, and rather than assume they know nothing, because they won't "show" you, perhaps a wiser, more enlightened course would be to assume they may have a very good reason for NOT posting videos, as is the case with several people I know personally.

Not sure why you have such a hard time understanding that and why you're bringing it back to me all the time. I don't talk about what I do, ever, that I can recall. I don't train dogs except when I have to or I will have to kill them,  I don't take videos, as I am alone and lazy, and I would much rather have people assume I don't know which end the leash goes on. It minimizes suspicion and allows me more freedom.  LOL.  I have no security issues, I am free to use my real name on forums...I'm just a short girl w/a couple of dogs from safe little suburbia who happens to have made friends with some people from extremely different walks of life and I thought perhaps I could shed some light on this very sore subject of "video refusal."

Jen- I'm not in the video

There are people on this forum who enjoy learning and watching dogs work. I'm sorry if your not one of them.

You know I am just now getting back to this thread. (shakes head) I am always amazed though I shouldn't be. One thing I have learned in life is that prior qualifications do not mean much when things get real. If people that trained in this manner shown in the video were placed in a serious situation..... they will die. Believe me, don't believe me; doesn't matter to me . That is my final word on the matter.

Pirates L. -- a word for you !! -- i am gald soemone onthis forum has enough wisdom and truthfulness to state what you did !1 YES .. SOMEONE [ and a dog ] is going to get HURT ... from my point of view .... and again .. only an opinion .. i watched three of those videos .. i would blast those people for the perfromance of those dogs !! they are NOT in my opinion of what a good PP / or well trained PP should exmplify .. i hope you folks did not present those videos as an avdertisement tyo sell dogs .. personally if you worked for me i would read you all the riot act !! i want viewers to nderstand ... you better have 100% control of your dog ... i have had PP dogs [ i trained for the record] .. if those folks agitated or presented in body suite ,  the dogs alerted [ it should be if the dog has a suspicion level] BUT the dog would be aside of me in heal , not that I have to watch the dog .. but the dog's mind is on me looking for direction[ not ness it's eyes but you can be sure it's mind and the corner of it's eye] [ unless i trained an automatic attack that supercedes a command which i have done , that's a differenent convesation]. point here .. not only do you control the dog BUT it should control itself .. no different fundamantally of a dog doing a guard/hold or batk hold in sport - the dog must control itself ..  --point #2 .. the video showing the dog jumping over the vehicle to bite an arm firing a gun -- Stupidity . plain stupidity .. do that to a reasonably skilled assailant  and the dog would have had a bullt in the face and the next one would probably be sent your way !! you don't send a dog to it's death !! ..DOGS DO NOT STOP BULLETS . if someone is behind a vehcle .. something as simple as running away and to let the environment protection could suffice .. gosh ... a tree could get you cover as you run away ... and .. most people who just pull a gun on you will MISS if you get 20 feet away ... not 100% but most are so nervous they would miss !!  pirates is correct!! .. you find a way to get out [ safety.. and try to keep your dog safe] .. in police work / tact units there is a way to deploy your dog and way not to !! the last resort is to have the dog sacrifice it's life to save you and don't lose sight of the fact .. the dogs we trained   in real life have PROTECTION vest on !! he is right --get out of Dodge .. get yourself out of harms way before you send the dog !! Nowconsider this :  if you send the dog from you .. most assailants are NOT alone !! be mindful .. many a times if you do not use a dog correctly you will ineveitably  put yourself in harms way of the second or third assailant -after  having sent a dog on the first assailant innapropriately  !! # -- most poeple on this forum  don't  know enough about dog training and to many times i have seen demonstrated   training is IMO,  that is deplorable !!. thankyou pirates L,  for opening people's eyes they are going to get hurt !! seriously hurt !! WOW!  The absolute misogynistic and utterly unproductive person vituperative attacks are unbelievable and that is why many folks don't bother to post even though they might have something to either add or learn.

I said I would never post, but I just have to say something about the attacks on Jenn.  If you knew her and knew what her dogs have done all over this planet, if you ever met her dogs, especially her male, and saw him in action, those of you who disparage her without knowing (her very point) would realize how very wrong you are.  She never criticized anyone or said not to watch your dog during training, she merely made a point about why some folks don't want attention called to what their dog has done and is capable of when they are no doing so for sport.  God knows she does not need me to defend her and if you only knew her dog, you would never say another word against either.  I am sure, knowing what her dogs have done, she even finds being underestimated amusing.  Those of you who are/have been on the street know that underestimating someone is not wise.

I just can't believe how mean people are on here.
