Scarlet I agree I would like to hear from people that defend roaching that is what a forum should be about. But that would 100% cause a fight. You make some good points.

You are missing the point here - those who breed/show roached backs don't realise they are roached backs - they convince themselves they are straight toplines sloping gently from withers to croup!

Now you can see why showline dogs are gaited on a tight leash. It holds the head up and helps to disguise the roach. In a stacked pose, with his head up this dog's topline does indeed show a nice, gentle curve from nose to tail.

And Bazza, sometime you have to show that the emperor does INDEED have no clothes!
