I was walking my old Aussie and one of those little shits (a Boston Terrier came running up and bit (unprovoked) the under belly of my her - I had to kick the dog as hard as I could several times to get it to let go. There was blood everywhere! 28 staples were used to put her back together.
The cops were waiting when we got home, and the lady was ticketed for having a dangerous dog, and not having it under control. Then they almost threw her in prison for screaming at them.
Weeks later that same dog came running and I wacked in right in the face with the crop, it make a "U" turn and screamed all the way home. Once again the cops came for a visit and this time the dog went to the pound and the lady went for a car ride. There was no avoiding them, since they lived only 2 doors away.
OH and the owner didn't pay for the vet bills - of course!

I agree with most all I have read here, especially the complaints about the little ankle biters and their owners. However, I saw with my own two eyes a woman correct her JR terriers righteously. Someone else was walking on the other side of the street from her with their dog and she had her JRs on a brace/single leather leash (not one of those stupid retractable things that I hate so much). She was also pushing a baby stroller with a small child in it. Her dogs went typical terrier behavior when they saw the other dog. She immediately put the brake on the stoller, stepped up close behind the dogs and yanked them up into the air by their leads and gave a firm shake and yelled for them to shut up. They protested just a bit and she did it again, very loudly and very firmly told them NO. They calmed right down and she continued on her way. I all but stood up and applauded her. I was beautiful to see. Brought a tear to my eye.
RLHAR...too funny. Me too. Punt to kill.
I'm not sure what kind of damage it would do...and I really don't want to hurt a dog...but I'm tempted to carry that long distance wasp spray. You can head them off at the pass with that stuff from several feet away. I wouldn't mind using it on a pit simply because of the damage those dogs can do. I've noticed a few of them being walked in the neighborhood. If their owners didn't wear their pants down around their knees and their hats on sideways I probably wouldn't be too concerned about it. They gots them a tough dog so that makes them tough. Funny, they tend to shy away from my PO-LICE dog. I had a young man tell me matter of factly that my B/T GSD was not a GSD but rather a po-lice dog because she is mostly black...that's how you can tell. LOL

They are all dogs and we should (and probably mostly do) love and care for them and wish them no harm but when the owners become involved...................
anyway my Lola is a sweet dog - I am probably the aggressive one!
Thank you for listening to my subject and replying in such a good and informative way

I know where you are coming from 99% of small dogs near me are neurotic and have no manners their owners are not much better either! excuses after excuses, last one was 'he only wants to play and it is common knowledge dogs bark at other dogs" B***S*** only neurotic and fearful dogs do this, bark at every dog it sees, most are too lazy to train, some even too lazy to exercise them and just throw them out on the street.
