I've been in love with the swarovski GSD forever, bit out of my price range. ;) Now that it's retired I only see them on ebay occasionally. One day!
Penny, it sounds adorable but I don't know if silver would work with a lifelike couple statue. Do you have a pic?
Robin, I can't wait to see pics! I really want to see the moving one.
My best pieces are antiques I've picked up from flea markets. I have a gorgeous old brass bookend (sadly only one) that cost me $9 and a large standing Shafford numbered piece that was $25- the lady also had a sitting one but I didn't have enough cash for them both.
When I was a little girl I had an amazing unicorn collection, over 500 at one point, even was on display at the public library, until I had a tragic accident with a vacuum attachment and a set of glass shelves....

My best buy at a flea market is a toasting fork - brass, obviously very old and with the top handle a sitting GSD. I love it, and loved it more even when I saw the price tag £1.50p - Mo.
