Get some Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar and put a teaspoon in her water when you fill it.

Yeast is primarily fed by simple sugars and starch..... like kibble.  Often, doctors will prescribe antibiotics and tell you to eat yoghurt.  Antibiotics will kill of all bacteria, including the good ones that keep yeast under control.  Then, there is an overgrowth of yeast, it just goes wild.

A good probiotic to use is Acidophilus Pearls.  Many dogs are sensitive to any milk products. They are the tiniest gel cap I have ever seen-easy to dose the dog and it stays fresh without refrigeration.

They range in price from 19.99 - 39.99 for 90.  www.evitamins.com/product.asp

You can find them in any health food store.  Google them for price.

Good luck, Michele

Dawn is not a good substitute, you need the tar/sulfur ingredient to be effective. Think of a Head and Shoulders type of shampoo. You would probaby only need to spot treat the areas, not necessarily the whole dog.
