Lief

by Lief on 24 March 2010 - 20:03

the story does not sound believable to me

Red Sable

by Red Sable on 24 March 2010 - 21:03

It does to me.  An acquaintance of mine did exactly the same thing when their dog matured.  Thought it was vicious.  Uneducated.

Should have gotten a golden instead.

kazz

the dog was nothing to do with me he was posted on facebook by someone who knew the owners.
here's what she said

[quote]He was just a typical hormonal pup, hasnt even bitten anybody, just grumbled at them. I am ashamed to call myself a human being sometimes. I havent managed to speak to the vet yet, will be interesting to see what he/she has to say, got the feeling they were told a pack of lies by the owners. Its not even like they didnt have a way out, they had already spoken to me & an assessor, so could've just handed him over to us[quote]

GSDalways

It sickens me to the core that some people can be so inhumane. I feel so angry when I hear about things like this happening. Some people really don't have a conscience.

by hodie on 24 March 2010 - 21:03

Do GSD rescue for just a few months. This type of situation is something I have heard about happening many, many times in 15 years.  You can make any crap up and a vet is not going to dispute it. This is one reason why I am such a fanatic about people NOT breeding litter after litter, after litter, that they be solid on standards for prospective owners and not simply sell to anyone who has money, and that they be capable of socializing and training the dog, or getting appropriate help to do so. When humans fail, the poor dogs suffer the consequences.

by noddi on 24 March 2010 - 22:03

this is so sad.he looks a luvely boy.if he was offered a home and there was professional help.,why put him to sleep.my old vet wouldn,t have done this.some people just cant be bothered.am glad i havent had a litter in over 7 years.Carole S.

poseidon

by poseidon on 24 March 2010 - 23:03

So sad, so merciless.  Why oh why do some people buy puppies and not prepared to see it through the hard times of their pet's life.  It is all too easy to blame the dogs and not the owners.  With the current scare of dog attacks and dogs used as weapon in UK, this case is absolutely absurd.  Where is responsiblity ownership start and finish? RIP Zues.

People like that are the ones that need to be put down.  Makes me sick!
