Jenni78,
Why would you state that the "breeders mentioned above" may suit his needs if looking for a pet???...why only a pet?
Why such a statement?

I didn't say "breeders mentioned above." YOU did. Reread my post.
The OP didn't even say WHY he was asking...is he looking to buy a dog? Is he looking just out of curiosity?
I like how people jump to sell the guy a dog, when all he did was ask about bloodlines. How do you even know he wants to buy a dog?
THAT was why I said what I said. If he wants to buy a dog, then call the breeders. If he wants to LEARN, which is what it sounded like to me, then there are a zillion resources.

Jenni78,
I didn't "mis read" your post......maybe you should re-read it yourself again....it "reads wrong".
I ONLY commented because of the "way it actually reads".....not the "possible way you meant it.".......couldn't understand the meaning behind the comment.
***The suggestions you received for breeders may suit your needs if you are looking for a pet..***
I'm sure others did exactly the same thing as I did & meant........offer the names of breeders who may have the "types" of dogs the poster questioned about.......whether to buy, look at or ask questions about. It was just one source of information.
Who better to ask "some" of the questions the poster may have...than the breeders of such dogs?
I don't think anyone was "selling" him a dog.......including myself.
When I look for info...besides reading, seeing with my own eyes, trial & error.......I also contact other breeders.

I didn't say you "mis-read" my post. Again, you are taking your interpretation of my post and asking me why I said something. LOL! And putting it in quotes, nonetheless! LOL!
Who cares? What's the problem? Sorry if I offended anyone by suggesting that there are other ways to learn about a bloodline than ask people selling those kinds of puppies......sheesh.
To the OP...I apologize for my suggestion. Do NOT do any research! Do NOT look anywhere for information about DDR lines except breeders, more specifically, the "above-mentioned" breeders. And NO, you CANNOT simply be looking for information!
There, Crhuerta, happy?
And no, you probably don't want to keep pressing me for my opinion on DDR breeders. If you didn't like that benign post which meant nothing more than the words it's comprised of, you really would not like what I have to say about the breeding of "DDR" dogs/pets.

Robin,
I think that you did mis-read what Jenni78 was trying to say. I did read it to mean that the poster should be more specific about what he is looking for, info, or a dog, and if it is a dog, to be specific about what he is going to do with the dog.
Your post is easily mis-read also. I have been around a lot of dog people and I have never heard someone say, " so and so has a nice litter on the ground" and that not mean this person has puppies for sale. Especially someone as knowledgable as you.
To Ian,
Please make sure that you understand that there is no such thing as a DDR or East German dog anymore. That political entity has not existed for twenty years. There are dogs bred presently that come from some of the lines that existed at that time. These dogs were also bred intermittently with dogs from West Germany and Czechoslovakia, so, what does pure DDR really mean anyway? That is for each person to decide for themselves. The other thing about the DDR lines is that these dogs, for the most part, are not the dogs that were being used in the military in East Germany. Those dogs were executed and like the East German government ceased to exist.
Best of luck with your research. It is a fascinating part of the history of the German Shepherd Dog.
I hope you end up with the dog that you desire!

Actually..Jenni78....I don't care about your opinion of the bloodlines, or the above mentioned breeders.....I wasn't the person asking the questions about information....I simply stated a breeeder who had dogs of those lines available and who the poster could contact.
I asked you about your specific post, because of how it actually read........a simple question....to a simple post.
You seem to have the problem with my question.....(.sarcasm is juvenile).
As for me being happy.......of course! I usually am!
Best of luck to you....I'll be sure to "ommit" replying to your posts....so no further "conflict".

I didn't see your post before I commented....my appologies.
I TRULLY did not understand Jenni78 post.......that is why I asked about it.
I would not try to "sell" someone a dog, just because they were inquiring about bloodlines....
As for Jenni78, I also saw the pics of her very nice dogs on the other forum, and would post possitively about them as well.
People should ask as many questions as they can when researching bloodlines....and we should all offer as much support as we can....
I would never ommit giving a reputable breeder's name as additional info....it's the breeders that should know their lines, and what they represent.
It just goes to show.....how a simple post AND the comments to it can be mis-understood.
I usually sway from sarcasm......not my personality.
Jenni78......if I MIS-READ how your post was intended......I am adult enough to appologize, I trully did NOT understand it.
Thanks OGBS......

Well personally I would contact Constance from Spartanville as well. I have a male from her who is doing amazingly well and I highly recommend her and her dogs.
