Very handsome GSD. Thanks for sharing him on this site. I live for my dogs, so glad they let me go to work so I can buy dog food and treats. Can't wait to come home and train!

It's so nice to see a thread about exactly what these dogs mean to us. I know it would have been much more difficult to deal with all of the problems in my life in the past 18 months, without my best friend beside me. I know how much he means to me and it's nice to see others who appreciate the kind of bond we share with these wonderful companions. Kudos, great thread!

I feel the same way about my boy! Just being in the same room with him, or hearing him snoring on the floor next to my bed, brings such happiness! I think only those who feel that way should own dogs.

I know sentimentality is not a bad thing, but my reasons are much more concrete. I've been through some of the most draining and stressful times of my life in the time period stated. My dog kept me from staying in bed, or giving up. He enabled me to make my cross-country journey, something I wouldn't have done on my own. He made me stay active, just in caring for him. He was the only reason I had to get out of bed some days. And more than anything, he made me smile, just knowing he was with me and allowed me to share a mutual trust, the one thing I needed most. He truly epitomized the meaning of a best friend

DOMENIC- DRIVES!!! he can lend some to other dogs and still have enough for a few laps around the world. He just got his SCH1 and his BH AGAIN! I had to re do his BH because of rule changes or something... If not i would have gone to SCH2 that weekend. It was a great trial for me even though i didn't agree with the tracking score but i cant complain.
this is his pedigree.
