Heather the top picture was taken before the bottom picture. I think all sables look similar but they did look almost exact when you posted that earlier. Now, not too much now.

Oh very nice, thanks for posting! Yeah, I can still see the similarity especially in the face exprssion, but they've both grown into different dogs for sure. It's fun to watch them mature and develop. I think I remember posting and asking you what lines your dog was! Lovely photos, I just love looking at the sables!

It is probably a genetic defect. Hair is growing in a wrong direction. I have seen it on top of the head. Do any of her siblings have that?
