Satisfaction guaranteed - Page 2

What is the difference, legally, between a guarentee and a warranty? I see both terms often used interchangeably on breeder and sellers' pages?

Yeah, there are no guarantees and there is nothing free.  If you hear these two phrases in the dog world, RUN like h---.  Nan

     Well, to me, the difference between guarantee and warantee is this;
When I have pups, I do GUARANTEE, that IF, your pups comes up with any genetic defect, I will, replace that pup, ABSOLUTELY for FREE, with another pup.
     And NO, I don't require the return of the pup that had a defect for my Warantee to be enforced.
There are absolutely no guarantees that your pup won't get HD, or any of the numerous other defects I see being discussed here (and Thankfully, I know nothing FIRST HAND about),BUT, if it does, I will stand behind any dog I produce, 100%.
     And I will ALWAYS take back a dog that came from me, regardless of issue or age.
Again, thankfully, I have never had to honor that Warantee, But I would.
    To see so many people say run from anyone that guarantees their dogs, is truly disturbing.
To think there are so many breeders that don't back up their dogs is PATHETIC!!!!!
    Speaks more of in for $$$,than to better the breed.

I must say,I was a newbie, but after this last year, I have learned a lot, the hard way of course. I contacted a breeder in Ohio regarding a nicely bred female pup, explained what I was looking for- I have a pet gsd that is a bit oversized for showing.. I was looking for a show dog that was the correct size. Well, well, well guess what I got? The pup was 27 pounds at 6 months, I contacted the breeder regarding this female's size, and she said she looked like a normal puppy to her. Well she is 13 months old, at the shoulder she is less than 18 inches. Someone asked me if she was a Shepherd/ Corgi mix...I jokingly stated that I would be starting a new breed -the miniature German shepherd dog. All of the woman's paperwork has satisfaction guaranteed printed all over it......I am not satisfied.. I was stupid.
