Thank you. He has that gay floaty show gait as well. LOL Who would have thought ? I cannot wait for Kira to come in season to see what they produce. Should be nice stuff, she has a low threshold as well.

I am getting so impatient waiting for my decoys to get back. I am curious to see how he works. He and I have been hanging out, getting him comfortable, and getting him to understand what it is I am saying. I do not use foreign commands, as I am an American, so I have been trying French, and sometimes he is blowing me off, for sure, but sometimes he really does look at me strangely. He needs to learn english.

Did you check the instruction manual?  I've imported quite a few adults that were trained in slavik, but they seemed to have no trouble understanding my accent, or learning new english commands.  Maybe you're just not saying the commands through your nose enough?

Unfortunately the instruction manual was destroyed in a freak accident.

He is getting better. I wacked him on the head and said down in french or my version of it, and he did it immediately.  I think it is just going to take some time. With the decoys gone, there is no work, so I am wondering if it is a field thing. I have gotten some dogs that knew what to do on the field, but didn't off the field. I crack myself up trying to speak french and bust out into oui oui vous vous and then just go back to my walk.

The AJ pups are little biting fools. Have you talked to Carol lately ??

Hi Jeff
Saddened for my grammatical mistakes in English but I am the former owner of Basco and it is true that I have never spoken to him in English. You will have to give him commands in French to begin.
If you the fact jut out say I what that gives that interests me, it is really a great dog!!!!
David PUIGRENIER

He is doing really well. I think he is laughing at me. : )

He is doing better every day. He likes to get his face rubbed. I am also not having any problems at all with him in the crate, or with his food dish. He lets me put it down, and pick it up when he is done.

I have a dog from Laurent Liberal and the two of them are very similar.  My decoys are out of town, so I have not been able to see him do the bite work. He is now doing the positions for me, but not daboo. He laughs at me. : )

In a couple of weeks when he knows me better, he will be made to behave.

I would like to point out that David has gotten some very nice dogs for friends of mine. If you are looking for a titled dog, then he is someone I would recommend. Everyone has been very happy with the dogs he has gotten for them.

Don't get everyone started.  You'll drive up those prices, and the best French dogs will soon be gone.

I know, right ? I need to find a brood bitch, and I am good to go from that standpoint. I am thinking about getting a pup from laurent if he has one. I just don't want to go through the shipping nightmare, and the euro vs dollar nightmare. That stupid currency thing changes so stinking fast there is no way to be right unless you are doing a wire transfer. Your only hope is that it goes DOWN after you have sent it.

I am going over there if I do get a pup. WAY cheaper.

Thank you. He is having a good time learning english. Today he learned growl at Jeff, and get yanked off your feet and ponked in the head. I don't think he was expecting that.
