I have no experience with the Czech wolfdog breed.
I have had experience with hybrids. About 12-13 years ago we had a big influx of the hybrids in our area. People bought them and would bring them in the veterinary hospital just portraying them as "mixes"as puppies. They had been educated by the breeders. After awhile it would invariably come out, as the owners really were proud of their wolf/dog hybrids, always after they had received their full set of vaccinations, that "my "dog" is half wolf". Over those years, there were probably 20-30 of them that I knew of. By the time they were all 2-3 years old, they were all being brought in to be euthanized for aggression, unpredicable behavior, severe wounds from fights, (owner's elected euthanasia). Some of them even were spayed or neutered fairly young, but as they reached maturity their demeanor seemed to change.
Never was able to find the source (breeder) to determine what they were using, who knows maybe the wolves were reeally sweet and the "dog" part was the culprit....... but from those I know we euthanized at least 15 of them in one year.

My friend in high school hid one in plain sight in an upper class subdivision in a pretty snobby city. She was 75%  Timberwolf and 25%  Alaskan Malamute. He was very diligent in keeping structure in the house and was no doubt more conscientious than most, but still, this was a high school kid keeping a wolf at his parents' house. We'd walk her and people would think she was a GSD mix, lol. She didn't bark, she sort of howled, and her mannerisms were like no dog I have ever seen, but that goes to show how stupid the public is; no one caught on as long as I knew him. She was a loving pet and lived peacefully w/an obnoxious Shih Tzu for years before I lost touch w/my friend. I have often wondered how long he was able to pull that off...she was 3 when I met her.

CsV or Czechoslovakian Wolfdog is more like a dog at this point. They are however independent, lack necessary drives to do sport, they are not fear biters and they are safe around people.

They are actually nice dogs for people who like to hike, have active life but dont expect the dog to win IPO chapionship. There are some titled dogs but too much work for low points.
Handsome, easy to care for, pets for people who like dogs for tracking (natural trackers) I think they would be excellent SAR dogs as they can trail scent forEVER>>>>

My CsV Or Cevecko as ve call them was an oustanding animal, amaizing farm dog, killed badgers, and then started to hund deer so we had to kinda stop that. Independent, easy going, kinda personalble but the best horse backpacking animal ever! Could go for MILEs.
