Donnerstom, very good point.  Who can argue with that.  Obviously the folks running things in DC have failed to take care of the people, but still get all their pay, benefits including first rate health care and private huge pensions and large expense accounts.

it is evryone in wash. fault. one person, the president, ONLY HAS 1/2 OF THE CONGRESS AND THE REP. PARTY HAS THE OTHER 1/2.
UNLESS THEY WORK AS AN "UNITED" GROUP TO GET US OUT OF THIS MESS AND QUIT THE POLITICAL PARADE, WE ARE GOING TO GET IN A WORSE FIX.
11 YEARS AGO WHEN GW TOOK OFFICE HE HAD ONE HELL OF A SURPLUS. I AM NOT GOING TO SAY HE SPLURGED IT ALL. I LOVED THE FACT THAT WE HIT AFGANISTAN. ON THE OTHER I DIDN'T SUPPORT IRAQ.
ALSO, ON OBAMAS' WATCH, EVERYONE PASSED THE BILL BAILING OUT THE RICH AND IT WAS A WASTE OF MONEY. I, AS A SMALL BUISNESS, NEVER GOT TO WASTE ANY OF THOSE BILLIONS.
THERE IS ENOUGH BLAME TO GO AROUND .
WHAT WE NEED TO DO AS AMERICAN CITIZENS IS "VOTE" AND TRY TO OUST THE BAD EGGS THAT DON'T SUPPORT THE MIDDLE CLASS

Wade thats exactly right. Some people give a president a whole lot more credit (good or bad) than they really have the authority to do. Last time I heard we had 3 branches of government. Executive, Legislative, and Judiciary. The last 2 are the ones that scare the heck out of me.

so according to preston the republicans in the executive branch did 9-11 and now according to some it is all branches? all the other branches in both parties went along because they were in on the conspiracy. okayyyyyyyyyyyyyy. lmao
keep listening to the closet republican tea party experts. bush wasnt enough for you people. a mass murderer is not enough. *shakes head*  *laughs at closet republicans*

by SitasMom on 15 September 2011 - 02:09

one MUST remember that the last 2 years of bush, the senate and house were controlled by democrats...

as far as going into IRAQ, the house and senate both agreed - almost every one of them.

by desert dog on 15 September 2011 - 02:09

Mia, get over it. some of us are talking about your own OT, not about Bush being responsible 9-11. I can't stand Bush or his dad, but in staying on your topic. My post is about is it fair to blame Obama for the mess the country is in.

I dont care who is to blame only that I personally want Obama out

by Preston on 15 September 2011 - 18:09

Influence peddling inside the beltway has continued under Obama regime.  Yep, it's still business as usual, just inverted. Why were only the Republican owned Chrysler dealers dropped? Why are democrat owned contractors favored?  Yes, it was reversed when Bush2 was president.  Just keep voting for the same old political hacks and puppets if you want this to continue.  Rep. Ron Paul is a good alternative.  Just go to his website and find out what he stands for and has never vacillated in 30 years, you will be impressed.

Barack Obama has awakened a sleeping nation
Gary Hubbell
Aspen Times Weekly          February 2010

Barack Obama is the best thing that has happened to America in the last 100 years. Truly, he is the savior of America 's future.

Despite the fact that he has some of the lowest approval ratings among recent presidents, history will see Barack Obama as the source of America 's resurrection. Barack Obama has plunged the country into levels of debt that we could not have previously imagined; his efforts to nationalize health care have been met with fierce resistance nationwide; TARP bailouts and stimulus spending have shown little positive effect on the national economy; unemployment is unacceptably high and looks to remain that way for most of a decade; legacy entitlement programs have ballooned to unsustainable levels, and there is a seething anger in the populace.

That's why Barack Obama is such a good thing for America . Here's why.

Obama is the symbol of a creeping liberalism that has infected our society like a cancer for the last 100 years. Just as Hitler is the face of fascism, Obama will go down in history as the face of unchecked liberalism. The cancer metastasized to the point where it could no longer be ignored.

Average Americans who have quietly gone about their lives, earning a paycheck, contributing to their favorite charities, going to high school football games on Friday night, spending their weekends at the beach or on hunting trips - they've gotten off the fence. They've woken up. There is a level of political activism in this country that we haven't seen since the American Revolution, and Barack Obama has been the catalyst that has sparked a restructuring of the American political and social consciousness.

Think of the crap we've slowly learned to tolerate over the past 50 years as liberalism sought to re-structure the America that was the symbol of freedom and liberty to all the people of the world. Immigration laws were ignored on the basis of compassion. Welfare policies encouraged irresponsibility, the fracturing of families, and a cycle of generations of dependency. Debt was regarded as a tonic to lubricate the economy. Our children left school having been taught that they are exceptional and special, while great numbers of them cannot perform basic functions of mathematics and literacy. Legislators decided that people could not be trusted to defend their own homes, and stripped citizens of their rights to own firearms. Productive members of society have been penalized with a heavy burden of taxes in order to support legions of do-nothings who loll around, reveling in their addictions, obesity, indolence, ignorance and "disabilities
