no.  I know you do not give cod liver oil to dogs.  I was just saying that if Vitamin A is in cod liver oil, it may be in other fish oils also including salmon.
Vit. A is what you must be careful about.  It can cause problems (the fat soluble variety) if it is overused.  The water soluble variety is flushed out of the body via renal function and does not build up.

Just trying to provide info.  further research may be necessary.
you can look into it or ignore it. your choice.

Nan had great advise: basically, do not over vitaminize your dogs.

Thank You Charity, I will research that! Jenni, I have not been adding Vitamin E along with the Salmon Oil. The Sea Meal does contain it along with her TOTW, do you think that is enough? I just wanted to give the pups the best start in life I could as well as maintain my girls health, you think it would be easy!! LOL! Thank you all for the information!

How much vitamin E does it contain? For a large breed, 400IU is adequate to make up for what is used, imo.

Well, if that provides 13.5iu/lb, then I'd say you're covered, though it depends on the form of vitamin e and how easily absorbed it is. Natural sources are much more efficient than synthetic.
