Micaho

Mindhunt,
We were walking through the woods in the rain yesterday and came across a woman with her GSD who was very well behaved.  She asked where I got my dog and not only knew the breeder but is basically the trainer he refers his puppy buyers to (but not me??!!)  Anyway, she knows the breed and line well, says my boy is lacking confidence and needs positive training only, not like the first trainer we hired or the one who suggested an e-collar without even seeing the dog.  So I am looking forward to when she gets back from a job out of state later this week and we'll see how it goes.  Sounds ideal to me, and she lives only miles away.  Thanks for asking.
I agree that any dog with an obsessive behavior may have a neurological problem.  I sure hope the GSD in this post can find a home with someone who knows how to deal with his issue.

Micaho, that's great, I am so glad for you and your pup.

I am surprised that the breeder didn't send you to this trainer when he has sent all his others....things that make you go hmmm.....

Have to send me pics of training.  I am hoping to get another pup to start training this spring.  Now to find a trainer whose methods are similar to mine here in Florida, looking more to K9/working dog training than Schutzhund.  Keep me in the loop, so excited for you.
